Past & Rust Mixed Media



Hi this is Shwetha Mahadevan. 
I have made this mixed media altered canvas for the Challenge for the month of February. This theme is based on Rust and Past.
Rust is usually associated with dilapidation, despair,  something that is dirty, disregarded and neglected.  
But to me, it serves as a reminder of sheer strength - to fight against the vagaries of nature, to hold on, instead of just disintegrating. 
My project is an ode to that innate strength in all us, that prevents us from giving up, in  spite of past misadventures and misfortunes, 
as our past teaches us some of the most valuable lessons in our lives.
